DescriptionThis rectangular matchbook features a bold red cover with an intricate gold emblem forming a symmetrical pattern of interlocking letters. The reverse side is marked with “The Ambassador Club,” referencing TWA’s exclusive airport lounges. Below the emblem, a white safety warning reads: BE SAFE - CLOSE COVER BEFORE STRIKING. The matchbook is bound by a small metal staple at the base, securing the matches inside. Trans World Airlines (TWA) brought the first widebody to the Albuquerque Sunport and operated from 1930 to 2001 connecting the city to larger airline networks.
