DescriptionThis ceramic insulator is circular and likely served in an industrial environment. The surface of the appliance encompasses a dark brown, glazed finish and a ceramic mold casting. Insets meant for electrical wires passing through the attachments are visible on both the front panel and the backside of the device. Observing the sides of the device reveals small, stamped inscriptions reading "Thomas - Pat. June 22, 09 Sep. 15, 14 - G-E-CO-USA - K26CH D1228" which contour the circular form of the apparatus. Originating from the Albuquerque- Santa Fe transmission line, the device served during the early twentieth century, specifically within the late 1920s, characterized by an era of widespread, centralized electrification.
