DescriptionThis electrical meter is constructed of metal. The exterior surface of the case is painted in black enamel. The case's backside is solid molded in foundry, while components in the frontal portion of the case are molded by stamped sheet metal process. On the top portion of the meter's front panel sits a glass window, revealing five circular, small gauges labeled and printed in black onto a white metal background. The gauges measure "Kilowatt Hours", with each featuring a needle except the one on the furthest right, and all feature a printed scale reading values zero through nine. Beginning from the left, the gauges are labeled from "1,000s", "100s", "10s", "1s", and "tenths" in black lettering. Just beneath the gages reads the stamped ID number of "2863". Beneath the window sits a listing of technical specifications. The left side encompasses "No. 37403 / Volts 110 / Amps 50 / Cycles 60 / Sec 90". The right side reads various patent dates, listing "Mar. 11-90 / Aug. 24-97 / Sep. 28-97 / Jul. 5-98 / Oct. 2-00". Featured closer to the bottom, in between the two lists, reads "Stanley Instrument Co." in large, capital lettering, with "Great Barrington Mass." written just beneath it. Observing the backside and sides of the device, residue from possible white spray paint or latex is visible, possibly applied while still in function on a wall.
