DescriptionA polychrome jar with a painted design. The vessel features a rounded bottom and a tall, tapered neck with a small opening. A black-and-white geometric design with fine line and zig-zag motifs is painted around the opening and down two sides of the jar. Two identical, Mimbres-inspired lizards are painted on opposite sides of the vessel, separated by the geometric design. Each lizard is black with a white striped tail and orange shapes resembling thin hearts on its back. The lizards have diamond-shaped heads with circular eyes, short arms, thin legs, and curved bodies and tails. On View
