DescriptionA man squats beside fiberglass models of a camping scene at "Beaver National Forest", a fictional national forest, in an exhibition outside of the Ghost Ranch Museum near Abiquiu, New Mexico. The fiberglass models show a man gathering firewood near the campfire stove, a child at a picnic table, and a woman standing between a tent and the picnic table. There are trees around the scene and the entrance to the Ghost Ranch Museum is in the background. In the distance are mesas and cliffs. A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "A tourist poses with fiberglass models of campers in the "Beaver National Forest" on the grounds of the Ghost Ranch Museum (admission free), 65 miles northwest of Santa Fe, near Aibquiu. This exhibit, built by the U.S. Forest Service in cooperation with the Museum has within its boundaries examples of many other uses of National Forests, too -- grazing, timber, water and wildlife."
