DescriptionTourists walk around the low adobe walls at Coronado State Monument in Bernalillo, New Mexico. A woman points toward a man who is using a camera. There is open space in the background.
A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "The ruins of the pueblo of Kuaua stand beside the Rio Grande near Bernalillo, New Mexico. This pre-Columbian pueblo is believed to have been occupied by the Spanish explorer Coronado during his expedition through New Mexico in 1540-42. The ruins are set aside as the Coronado State Monument."
