DescriptionTen employees of the Railway Ice Company work to load ice into rail cars in Belen, New Mexico. The men are standing on the ice dock and pushing blocks of ice into the tops of the rail boxcars. There are power lines overhead. A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Picture taken on the ice dock: Railway Ice Company which produces 162,000,000 pounds a year, ices an estimated 40,000 freight cars annually, has a storage capacity of 10,000 tons, and employs up to 125 workmen."On View
