DescriptionThis black, metal lantern includes a handle for hanging. It features three sides of glass, which are now broken, and the back side is metal. The visible black laquer finish, popular during the nineteenth century, was likely polished to create a shiny finish. The back of the lantern also encompasses two parallel, rounded, handle-like pieces with visible discoloration, scratching, and damage.On View
