DescriptionThis campaign button was made for Phillip Maloof's 1998 bid for a seat in the United States Congress as a representative of New Mexico's 1st Congressional District. After spending $8 million on his campaign, Maloof lost the 1998 race to Republican candidate Heather Wilson. The button is mostly blue with a white border. There is text displayed in the middle of the button that reads "Phil/MALOOF/for Congress/Democrat."
