DescriptionThis vertically oriented, gold-colored silk ribbon commemorates the first annual reunion of Roosevelt’s Rough Riders in Las Vegas, New Mexico, on June 24–26, 1899. The ribbon is printed with red text and imagery, including a depiction of a mounted Rough Rider wielding a rifle. The words "FIRST ANNUAL REUNION" curve along the top, followed by "Roosevelt’s / Rough Riders." in bold, stylized lettering. Below, "Las Vegas, / NEW MEXICO / June 24th, 25th, & 26th / 1899." At the top of the ribbon, a small brass pin shaped like a military campaign hat features the letters USV (United States Volunteers). The bottom of the ribbon is adorned with a brass, star-shaped medal with a raised relief of Theodore Roosevelt on horseback, framed by a pair of crossed horns. A row of metallic fringe hangs from the lower edge.On View
