DescriptionThis small wooden almud, a traditional unit of volume and measurement utilized during the 19th century to measure things like grains, wheat, and other dry foods, is square and is constructed in a drawer-like fashion. It has five hand-sawn pieces of wood, and the sides are held together with dovetail joints, while the bottom is held to the sides with manufactured screws and nails. The top incorporates reinforcing strips held with manufactured screws.On View
