DescriptionAn office space in the New York Life Insurance Company in the N.T. Armijo Building located at 201-207 West Railroad Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wooden chairs, rolltop desks, and a small furnace fill the room. The walls have a multiple picture frames hanging. Two men sit in chairs at their rolltop desks and look towards the camera. The sitting men have short hair parted to the side and is slicked back. There is a small scruffy dog laying on the ground in front of the furnace. A picture frame on an easel is set just inside a large square doorway. Railroad Avenue's name was changed around 1908 to what is now Central Avenue. Central Avenue also overlaps with the historic Route 66.
Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
