DescriptionA single-story adobe home stands in the valley of desert mesas in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Arthur Ross stands outside the ranch home with his two horses strapped to a wooden wagon.The benches of the cart have striped woven blankets draped over them. Arthur wears a homburg hat, dark suit jacket and pants. He has a large beard. A handmade post and barbed wire fence surrounds the home. A plank of wood and log posts were used to construct a front door covering. The Arthur Ross ranch was located in the southern end of Albuquerque near the railroad tracks. Arthur Ross was the eldest son of Governor Edmund G. Ross, the Territorial Governor of New Mexico from 1885 to 1889.
Emulsion flaking and loss is occurring onm the glass plate.
