DescriptionA group of teenagers are assembled on the front steps of a brick building. They hold brass band instruments including a base drum, snare drum, symbols, tubas, euphoniums, trumpets, and trombones. The student in the bottom right corner holds an American flag rolled onto a post. Beside him on the brick railing is another banner or flag with dark stars on a light background. In the bottom right corner of the building is a brick with "HART MEMORIAL" inscribed. The students are all in dark suits and ties. Their hair is slicked back and some with their hair parted to the side.

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
