DescriptionA studio portrait of young Wilson Ross, the oldest son of Pitt and Clemie Ross and a grandson of the territorial governor Edmund G. Ross, at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The child stands on a shaggy fur rug and looks at the camera. Wilson wears a button-down shirt with a large, multi-pointed collar, wears knickerbockers with tall dark socks, and holds a straw woven hat in his left hand. Wilson's hair is parted on the side and combed away from the face. There is a stucco wall behind him.Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
