DescriptionPeople gather around Francis Schlatter, known as "the Healer" in front of an adobe building near Albuquerque, New Mexico. Schlatter is wearing light pants and a light-colored button-up shirt over another shirt. His dark hair is shoulder-length and he has a large beard and a mustache. He is smiling toward the right of the camera. Men standing on either side of him are wearing suits and single-Albert pocket watch chains with drops attached to their vests. They look directly into the camera. There are a few women behind the men wearing high-crown hats decorated with flowers. One of them peers between the shoulders of Schlatter and another.Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss. The glass plate is also chipped and broken in multiple spots.
