He is standing beside a bench in front of a hand-painted backdrop in Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is holding a wide-brimmed hat and resting his right hand on the back of the bench. His dark hair is parted on the side and combed away from his face. He has a large mustache and is looking toward the camera.Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
