He is seated in Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is wearing round eye glasses and his hair is center-parted and combed away from his face. He is holding a violin and bow and looking toward the camera.

Edward Leroy was a noted violinist and founded the Albuquerque Youth Symphony in 1930 and the Albuquerque Civic Symphony in 1931.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
