DescriptionNorma Shearer, silent film actress, stands outside on a brick walkway at the Albuquerque, New Mexico train station. She faces the camera and smiles, wearing a felt cloche hat, skirt and jacket set, button-down blouse with a bowtie, and she wears one leather glove on her left hand and holds the other glove between both hands. A small leather purse dangling from her right wrist. Behind her is an adobe building and archway. Behind her, to the viewer’s right, sits a Pueblo woman on the ground with small basketry laid out in front of her. An infant sits on her lap and she looks at the camera. To the left behind Norma Shearer, is a Caucasian woman and toddler.
