DescriptionA DC-3 Trans World Airlines passenger airliner is on the tarmac of the Albuquerque Airport. A crowd of people stand under the covered walkway. The DC-3 airplane paved the way for passenger air travel in the United States, and is considered the first aircraft to be able to make money carrying only people. It could take up to 32 passengers at a time and was fast and could also take off from short runways.
