DescriptionThis blue first aid booklet, produced by Whitman Publishing Company, is a compact and informative guide designed for emergency care. The front cover prominently displays the title "First Aid" in bold white letters, with the subtitle "For The Injured" in smaller yellow text below. Centered on the cover is the caduceus, a staff with two snakes coiled around it; the official insignia of the United States Medical Corps, Navy Pharmacy Division, and the Public Health Service. Surrounding this emblem, red text on a artistically paintbrush-swept style white background notes that the content is based on methods used by the U.S. Army Medical Corps and includes a foreword by the Surgeon General. At the bottom, additional text announces that the booklet is illustrated with diagrams and photographs. The reverse side features a patriotic image of a historical figure holding a rifle while standing on a raised platform. Behind him, a striking red, white, and red horizontal-striped backdrop is shaped like a kite, with an angled triangle cut into its right side. This design combines practicality with national pride, emphasizing the importance of first aid knowledge while connecting it to civic duty in a time of war.On View
