DescriptionLandscape, horizontal format, sunset scene looking west from the sandhills below the Mesa east of Albuquerque, overlooking the New Town district, railroad and Old Town to the bosque and Rio Grande and mountains to the west.

Trousset painted the railroad boomtown from the East Mesa sandhills, facing west. He traveled from city to city painting familiar scenes, then selling copies in order to make a living.
