DescriptionThis is a red and silver lantern used by railroad brakemen. The lantern has a base that is roughly cylindrical, with different tiers and holes on the outside. Above this is the main body which is cylinder with curved sides made of red glass, a candle can also be seen inside. Also on the glass the letters "A.T.&S.F. RY" are embossed. At the top is a domed cover with another cylinder above it, this also has holes along the outer sides. A cage encapsulates the lantern from top to bottom, and lifts the base off of the ground. A curved handle is attached to the top. The top of the dome has information about the manufacturer embossed into the metal.On View
