DescriptionThis is a carbide lantern made of silver metal and glass. The lantern has several sections. The main section is shaped roughly similar to a cylinder, with a circular base and a domed top. On the top is information about the manufacturer. On either side there are circular glass panes, one is red and the other appears to have once been green, but is broken now. On the front is a circular addition with the word "SOLAR" and beams of light scattered around it. The back has the section where oil can be stored, it is shaped like a short, horizontal cylinder and has ridges around the outside edge. At the back of the top is a hinge with a hoop attached to it that is used to secure the lantern for hanging.
