DescriptionThis knick-knack shelf, also known as a "whatnot," takes on a layered form, showcasing five tiers spanning top to bottom. The plates that comprise each tier encompass a rectangular form with soft, curved, ornamental edges, creating a unique shape. Each tier is held in place by four vertical protruding columns, showcasing a twisted, serpentine-like embellished design. Sixteen columns in total are visible throughout the entirety of the shelf, each including a pointed end with a ball finial at the top. Additionally, each of the tiered panels includes a perpendicular frame consisting of intricate, organically shaped carved embellishments reminiscent of scrollwork.
