DescriptionThis pen advertises the Mountain States Telephone Company, which started in Denver, Colorado in 1911. The pen is promoting the company's direct distance dialing capabilities, which became operational in 1959. The pen has a large white blade like appendage at the bottom end of it. The top half of the pen is a black plastic with bits of white text throughout. The text reads "MOUNTAIN STATES TELEPHONE/Presents/DIRECT DISTANCE DIALING."
