DescriptionThis pen was made to promote The Kaiserhof Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The Kaiserhof was built in 1910 and was located at 17th and Welton Street in downtown Denver. In 1917, the name of the hotel was changed to the Kenmark, as there was anti-German sentiment in the United States after World War l. The pen is mostly a metallic silver color, with small bits of gold residue throughout, implying that the pen was once all gold. There is a line of text on the two sides of the pen, with one reading "THE KAISERHOF, DENVER, COLO." The text on the other side of the pen reads "J.G. NICHOLAS." The top end of the pen is narrow and silver and has a small line of indents running horizontally around then pen. The bottom end of the pen is also silver, with little bits of gold residue present. On View
