DescriptionA compact, handheld merchandise marker made of metal in black. The device features a cylindrical handle and a rectangular marking mechanism, designed for stamping prices or product information onto tags and labels. The words "Monarch Marking System" are engraved on the body along with a stamp on the side with the number 32 surrounded by the words "machine washable." The reverse side has a rectangular wooden body and a label: "Lift up mark gummed labels." Dating to 1920, this machine represents an era when retail businesses relied on manual pricing tools before the widespread adoption of automated cash registers and barcode scanners.On View
