DescriptionThis record player is encompassed in a rectangular, suitcase-like enclosure and features a handle at the top, a metal hinge spanning the width of the form on the backside, and two metal latches on the front. The enclosure's exterior features a deep red and brown color, creating a uniquely textured surface. Upon opening the suitcase, the device itself is revealed, showcasing a circular turntable comprising one side of the interior, in which a record would be placed when in use. Additionally, a metal tone arm is visible on the other side, encompassing a curved form. A speaker grille sits on the same interior panel, comprised of uniform holes. Underneath the interior panel, "Pajarito School" is written in what appears to be hand-painted, white lettering, sitting just above a metal hand crank with a bulbous end. The top-facing panel of the suitcase enclosure features a decorative frame, mirroring the central, rectangular form, which features largely obscured scrollwork. Substantial chipping and scratching is visible throughout the surface, showcasing the device's usage over time.On View
