The first page of the booklet features a rectangle contouring the page shape, which reads "Instructions / For / Operating / Lionel Trains" in back serif lettering. Underneath the text is a detailed printed ink illustration of a train on train tracks. The last page of the booklet includes two figures, the first one (top) features a visual layout and display of controls for the included line tracks. There is some text between the two figures that further elaborates on the control functions, located above the second figure in the bottom portion, which also showcases the controls in a simplified manner.
