DescriptionThis round-lid woven basket features a warm tan body accented by hand-painted floral motifs in bright colors, including a prominent blue and orange flower along the exterior side. The top of the basket features a circular pattern of a dark background with green and blue circles as well as red liing on the woven material. The interior is lined with deep red fabric woven with an ornate gold floral pattern, and includes a small sewn pocket of matching material stitched to the inside wall. The basket is lightweight and finely crafted. The bright floral painting and fabric lining suggest it was intended for use in a home—perhaps for storing sewing supplies, small personal items, or gifts. On View
