DescriptionThis object is a cylindrical tin kerosene container with an affixed lid, metal handle, and spout. The sides of the container are ribbed in a similar fashion to other tin cans, with a concentration of ribs towards the bottom and top of the object and a smooth horizontal section in the middle. A metal wire is affixed to two loops on the top of the lid with a wooden handle in the middle. A removable flap with an affixed metal handle is present in the middle of the lid and is used to fill the canister. A discolored, torn piece of fabric has been inserted into the spout located next to the flap on the outside of the lid. Moderate levels of corrosion and rust are visible throughout the object. On View
