DescriptionThis syringe is made of metal and glass and was used for veterinary services. The top of the syringe is the handle. The handle has a hoop at the top that connects to a narrow metal rod, which then connects to a wide circular lip before returning to a metal rod shape. This rod extends into the main body of the syringe and out at the end and allows liquid to be pulled in or pushed out. The main body consists of a circular lip at the top that then connects to a metal tube. This tube ends in another circular lip before tapering to a narrow opening where the rod comes out. One side of the tube has been cut out and replaced with glass so the inside compartment can be seen. At the top of the tube, engraved onto both the metal and glass, is the name of the maker "SHARP & SMITH / CHICAGO."On View
