DescriptionThis train set includes a variety of distinct toy parts. Comprised of various train cars, curved and straight metal rails, and a switch platform, this set encompasses the essentials of an accurate train station during the period. The first train car is a monochrome black color and appears to have an aerodynamic shape, and features a small silver hook or connector to attach to other cars. The following car is similar, but includes borderings of small gray dots surrounding the words "New York Central" in gray serif lettering in the center of the car. Contrastingly, the next car integrates a red and green color scheme and reads "552" on the side, followed by "Rock Island" in red lettering. On the other side, "C. R. I & P" is read in white serif lettering, followed by the appearance of the number "552" once again. The text on this car is encompassed in various green rectangles against a red base color. Similarly, the next train car is a vibrant red color and reads "Pullman" on the top portion, and "Bogota" on the bottom, separated by cream-colored windows and doors. Reflecting the same shape, the next car features a red and cream colored base color and illustrates a painted man pushing a box inside the car. The side of the car reads "Colorado / and / Southern" in white lettering against a blue circle, and " C & S / 5 5 5" in red lettering beside it. The other side reads "817" and "Refrigerator' in large red lettering. The next car is the same red color and is a slightly different shape, encompassing a more protruding ceiling. There are three rectangular windows, and the number "556" is included on both sides in cream colored lettering, separated by the words "New York / Central / Lines" against a black oval. The top roof portion also includes small, window-like details. The curved metal rail segments are silver and incorporate parallel pieces, while the switch platform includes a metal base and a small traffic light. On View
