DescriptionThis set of wooden blocks features realistic illustrations of children engaged in various activities, such as "Writing a letter to Papa" and "The Little Hairdresser." Several sides of the blocks also display letters of the alphabet. Each block is open at the top and decreases in size, allowing them to nest inside one another for easy storage and transport. These objects offer an intimate glimpse into the educational toys that shaped the learning experiences of American children at the turn of the 20th century. On View
