DescriptionThis circular ceramic child's plate showcases a pictorial depiction of a leopard sitting on what appears to be a tree trunk while green grass and foliage surround the scene. The scene is encompassed in a square, dark-colored frame, with a word in each of its corners, reading (left to right): "Wild / Animals / The / Leopard." Sitting around the square border are all the letters of the alphabet in capital lettering, separated by a dotted pattern throughout. Possibly part of a larger ceramic set, it is reported that Sarah Louise Cook's grandmother gave her this plate around 1910–1912.
