DescriptionThis image depicts some of the Matachines at San Lorenzo Fiesta in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. Numerous dancers can be seen outside of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. The dancers are wearing a wide range of colors on their headdresses. This headwear also has long tassels attached to the back which hang nearly to the ground. While the dancers take up a majority of the right side of the frame, a crowd of on lookers can be seen primarily on the left side of the frame. The church's two turquoise steeples can be seen rising above both sides of the crowds.On View
