DescriptionThis barrel pump features an extended, cylindrical handle with an overlapping cylindrical end. Utilized for moving liquids effectively into different containers, this tool also likely played a significant role in the transportation of industrial materials, acting as a preventative measure to further injury while handling heavy containers and managing liquid transfer. The handle's rounded end encompasses a carved-out "X" shape. The head portion of the tool features a paper wrapped around the cylindrical surface containing a printed paragraph, largely illegible due to aging, but likely a set of instructions or information regarding the barrel pump and its uses. Above the text, a rounded dome shape is included, and appears to encompass the "pump" portion of the tool at the very top with what looks to be the lever to control the input or output of liquid or material. Significant scratching and discoloration are visible throughout the surface, notably on the head of the tool.On View
