DescriptionThe back of this photo reads, "7th Convention in Gallup, New Mexico on August 26-28, 1929. No Fire school." A large group of men are standing in front of a building with decorative buntings on the building. Next to the building is a sign that says: "McQuade Rooms" 102 W. Aztec. From the right to left, the photo shows 13 young men dressed in Native American attire. Next to them are four men sitting on railings. A sign says "We Welcome You". Twenty-four men are posing in the center. On the right are thirteen men with instruments and dark band uniforms. In the center is a drum with "Clovis Fire Dept., Clovis, New Mex." Further on the right are two men dressed in firemen garb. at the far right are three children and four people in the background. One child is on a bike. Above the band members is a sign on the building "City Hall". At the bottom left corner "Mullarky Photo" and on the right is "New Mexico Volunteer Fire Department Convention, Gallup, N.M. Aug. 26-28, 1929.
