DescriptionA lithograph print depicting an African American musician seated on the edge of his bed and strumming a guitar. He wears a hat, tight-fitting shirt with the sleeves rolled up, slacks, and only one shoe. Next to his bare right foot is a tipped-over glass and, under the bed, a suitcase or trunk with stickers on its exterior ("Austin Texas," "Cotton Club," etc.). An likeness of the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven is pasted to the wall behind the musician. On View
