DescriptionThe picture depicts the inside of the one of the La Placita dining rooms in Old Town in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The inside of this particular dining room is made of painted white adobe with various paintings, photographs, and rugs hanging on the walls. The ceiling of the room is made of wood and is supported by a wooden pillar in the center of the room. Five square tables are visible, each with three chairs. On each table, a salt shaker, a pepper shaker, a small ceramic jar, and a wax candle can be seen. Near the back of the room and on the left wall, two fireplaces can be seen with a fire in it. The white painted adobe around the mouth of the fireplaces has been blackened from use.
