DescriptionErnie Pyle Beach in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Four boys in swim suits climb a slide, as a girl slides down it into the water. Others stand or sit on the beach; many people are in the water. Trees line an embankment on the left. The water, the shore, and the trees stretch on into the background. The photo is damaged with a tear from the right edge, and discoloring from tape used to repair it.Handwriting on the back reads, "Friday Aug. 10, 1956. Found this beaten-up card in a 5 and 10. Only one if its kind... Took Hilda and Mary to the Pyle library in his old home. Hilda liked the homes on Girard Blvd... Got a Greek lady to write a letter to the [Puffilases]... Beginning to get ready for departure. Sort of sad to leave, Hilda sadder. F."
