DescriptionThis is a porcelain plate used during the Passover seder feast. The main body of the plate is round and is a bright gold color, with six areas and the Star of David having been left in an iridescent white color. The star is in the center of the plate, the lines that make up the star are in gold. At the center of the star there is also the word "Karlsbad" written in a gold, cursive font. From each indentation of the star begins a large teardrop shape that extends to the edge of the plate, there are six of these. In each area there is a different word written in Hebrew in gold. The words correspond to a different food label for each section. The gold areas surrounding the white sections is shaped in a way that gives the plate the look of overlapping feathers or scales, the white sections remain smooth.
