DescriptionThis is a rectangular prism-shaped plastic coin bank, with a green plastic base. The rest of the bank is clear plastic with cylindrical tubes/holes from the base to the top of the bank. The tubes match the size of these coins: dollar, half dollar, quarter, nickel, penny, and dime. On the underside of the base, there are slots to put coins into the bank. There is also a small hole for “bills.” There is a lock with a key hole on the underside of the base. On the front side of the bank, on the clear plastic part and in red lettering, it says, “Watch Your Savings grow.” The word “grow” is all capitalized and ascends from left to right. On the front of the green base, it says, “Sandia Laboratory, Federal Credit Union, Sandia Base, Albuquerque with letters that have been heavily faded. There is a charm or pendant inside the half dollar coin slot. It is in the shape of a pentagon and has the Sandia logo on it and a small hole at the top. On the reverse side it says, “Family Day, April 19th, 1955.”
