DescriptionFather Luis Jaramillo stands on a small wooden platform on the sidewalk outside the San Felipe de Neri Church and begins the Blessing of the Animals ceremony in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Young boys stand on either side of the priest and another boy holds a floral arch behind the priest. A group of people and animals are in line along North Plaza Street to get the priest's blessing of their pets. A young boy holds a leash attached to a German Shepherd and waits at the head of the line, watching Father Jaramillo. On View
