DescriptionPoster with a reproduction of Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros's "Heroic Voice," 1971. At top is a sketched portrait of civil rights activist and Los Angeles Times reporter Ruben Salazar (1928-1970). Below him appears a sketch of Siqueiros' 1944 mural "New Democracy," featuring a woman with bare chest, raised arms, and broken shackles dangling from her wrists. Text at bottom poster shares details of the Paseo del Arte benefit at Plaza de la Raza (Los Angeles) on Mar. 28, 1971.
