DescriptionAnnouncement poster for the "Quinto festival de los teatros chicanos" (Fifth Festival of Chicano Theaters). The central image is of a feathered serpent framing the North American continent. A pyramid with footsteps also appears on this map, in approximately the location of modern-day Mexico City, which connect below with the map of South America. Text around a modified Aztec Calendar Stone (or Sun Stone) reads, "Un Continente Una Cultura (One Continent, One Culture)." The calendar has been modified so that the face at center is now the three-face symbol of mestizaje. Some indigenous icons have also been replaced by Chicano ones. Additional text reads: "TENAZ [El Teatro Nacional de Aztlán]/ p.o. box 274/ San Juan Bautista/ Califas/ (408) 623-4436/ CLETA -UNAM/ Sullivan 43/ México DF/ 546-15-87/ Dos Semanas en Mexico/ Primer Encuentro Latinoamericano/ 24 de junio-7 de julio."
