DescriptionThis trestle table was produced in the 18th century to support a vargueño portable desk. The vargueño was particularly popular during the colonial era of Spain’s history, designed as a traveling writing desk—an especially useful item for settlers and politicians. The table is made primarily of wood, featuring two iron supports that extend downward from the tabletop to connect with the legs.
