Description1. As we continue our journey through the Rio Grande Canyon, we see fishermen along the banks of the river.

2. Santa Fe - 41, 167 population, 7,000 feet altitude is the oldest capital city in the U.S., having served as a seat of government for over 300 years, since 1610.

3. One of the longest commercial routes in the country in the pre-railroad era, the Santa Fe Trail, began at Independence, Missouri and ended at Santa Fe, a distance of 700 Miles. This Plaza is where it ended.

4. the historic La Fonda Hotel is on the site of an old inn, in the Plaza, that marked the end of the Santa Fe Trail. The materials sent to me came from the S.F. Chamber of Commerce, whose headquarters are in this hotel.
