DescriptionThis is a colored aerial map of Halle, Germany, and the surrounding area in pink, green, and yellow. The main part of Halle is colored in orange. There is a yellow and black line frame drawn around the the map. Inside a narrow white box running horizontally across the top of the map, it says, "DARSTELLUNG des GRUNDRISSES und PROSPECTES der Königl Preusfisch-Magdeburgischen und des Saal-Crayses Haupt Stadt HALLE,/welcher dafelbst auf Kosten und Verlag IOHANN BAPTISTAE HOMANNS Der ROM. KAYS. MAJ. Geographi und Mitglids/der Königl. Preuss. Societat der Wisfenschafftë, ift ausgemeffen und Geometrice verzeichnet worden/von I.C. HOMANN der Medicin und Mathematic Studioso./zufinden in NURNBERG bey dem Authore." In the lower right corner, there is a key in a small white box. There is text in a framed box near the upper right corner of the map. Across the bottom of the page, there are illustrations in three parts. The two black and white boxes in the left and right corners are smaller than the colored panoramic image in the center. The illustration in the middle shows the city, and above this it says, "Profpect der Stadt HALLE wie folche von Abend auzufehen." Above this is a shield with the Halle coat of arms of a crescent moon with a star above and below it, on it. There is a small map key in a white box below the illustration. In the box in the left corner, there is an industrial or factory scene. In the box on the right, there is an illustration of people seated in an auditorium.
